Brad – Director

Brad, one of the founding directors of Plazmax, brings decades of experience in machining, fabrication, and engineering innovation. Originally trained as a machinist and later the owner of a precision engineering workshop, he shifted focus to CNC plasma cutting after discovering a gap in the market for high-performance, locally built systems. That vision led to the creation of one of the most advanced CNC plasma cutting systems available today. His deep passion for design, performance, and automation continues to guide Plazmax’s evolution, driving a team of world-class engineers and developers to deliver cutting-edge profile cutting solutions.

Director

Gareth – Director

Gareth brings a strong background in inventory control, procurement, and business consultancy, delivering strategic leadership and customer-focused innovation. Having spent years improving business profitability and ROI across multiple industries, he understands the transformational power of CNC plasma and robotic systems. As head of Sales and Service, Gareth ensures every Plazmax client receives exceptional support and long-term value. His expertise centers on helping manufacturers increase productivity, streamline processes, and reduce operational costs through automation and precision engineering.

Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineer

Chris – Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineer

Chris brings international experience in automation, machine building, and production coordination. Responsible for mechanical design, product refinement, and manufacturing quality control, his meticulous approach ensures that every Plazmax machine meets the company’s uncompromising standards of precision, reliability, and performance.

Software Engineer & Automation Specialist

Tsubasa – Software Engineer & Automation Specialist

With a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, Tsubasa is one of the key architects behind Plazmax’s proprietary motion control and automation technologies. He played a central role in the development of MaxControl, the company’s world-class CNC controller platform. His ability to merge academic insight with practical innovation continues to push the boundaries of advanced automation.

Software Engineer

Heydn – Software Engineer

Joining Plazmax at a pivotal moment in its software innovation timeline, Heydn worked closely with the automation specialist to design and develop MaxControl. Known for exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-driven mindset, he turns complex technical challenges into elegant, effective software solutions that advance Plazmax’s CNC automation capabilities.

Robotic Systems & Programming Engineer

Vaisakh – Robotic Systems & Programming Engineer

With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and advanced qualifications including both a Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering, Vaisakh leads Plazmax’s expanding robotics division. His expertise spans robotic welding, automation, and CAD for fabrication. He has been instrumental in delivering next-generation robotic welding and fabrication systems across New Zealand and Australia, enabling manufacturers to confidently transition into smart automation.

Senior Technician & Technical Sales

Nathan – Senior Technician & Technical Sales

Nathan began his career as a heavy diesel mechanic, developing strong mechanical and diagnostic skills before moving into CNC automation. With more than 15 years of hands-on experience building, servicing, and supporting CNC plasma systems across multiple brands, he is a cornerstone of Plazmax’s technical operations. His dual strengths in commissioning and customer support ensure every machine performs at its highest potential.

Technician & Electrical Specialist

Jacob – Technician & Electrical Specialist

Jacob first entered the field as a CNC plasma operator, quickly demonstrating strong technical aptitude before completing an electrical apprenticeship under senior design engineers. With combined expertise in machine operation, electrical systems, manufacturing, and service, he plays a vital role in maintaining the precision, reliability, and performance of Plazmax systems throughout New Zealand and Australia.
